Wading – 18" x 24" – Acrylic and mixed media abstract painting on canvas

This piece feels a little slower and more grounded than the others in the series—soft sage and pale blue-green washes layered under dark ink marks that pool and settle rather than scatter. It has a bit of a wetland feeling to it, quiet and a little murky in the best way.

The color story comes from a blue heron photo I found on Pinterest, and I liked how those muted teal and sage tones felt calm on their own but got a little more charged once the ink splatter and black marks came in. Wading felt like the right name, since the piece has this sense of moving through something slowly rather than rushing past it.

Comes wired and ready to hang.
