My story

I'm a self-taught abstract painter and entrepreneur. I love to say that I have a full-time job as a UX designer AND a full-time art career.

Just like many others, I started painting abstracts in early 2020 when the pandemic was starting to become more intense. I've always been someone who's constantly on the move, so being forced to stay at home really gave me the opportunity to explore my creative side. I've always had a passion for making things and being crafty, so after being inspired by some amazing abstract artists, I decided to give it a try with an I could do that attitude.

Needless to say, I was hooked! Now, just a short time later, my art has been in a few shows and publications but the coolest part is that it is hanging in hundreds of homes in various parts of the globe.

The artist timeline

2020

How It All Started—Stuck at Home with Paint

In 2020, I started painting out of boredom during the pandemic. I’ve always loved creating with my hands, but discovering abstract artists on Instagram and Pinterest made me pick up a paintbrush. My first paintings were experiments—messy, muddy, and full of trial and error—but I loved every minute of it. Acrylic paint’s fast drying time gave me the instant gratification I was craving.

2021

Learning, Growing, and Selling My First Pieces

In 2021, I dove into online art courses, trying every technique I could. I shared my work with family and friends, then took the leap and started an Instagram. By the end of the year, I built my first website and sold a few pieces to friends. It was exciting (and a little surreal) to know people wanted my art in their homes.

2022

Taking My Art Seriously—Website, Shows, and Growth

In 2022, I focused on turning art into a business. I sold more consistently, applied to my first art show (and got in!), and even had work featured in a gallery. I also faced a few setbacks—like website issues and finding my style—but pushed through by treating the business side as seriously as painting. If you look back at my work from this year, you’ll see how much my style evolved.

2023

Bigger Paintings, Commissions, and New Products

2023 was all about expanding. I started offering resources and additional items on my website. I worked on larger pieces, took on more commissions, and started focusing on building deeper connections with collectors. My style became more confident—bolder colors, richer textures, and more thoughtful compositions.

2024

Refocusing on the Process and Enjoying the Work

After a couple of busy years learning the business side of things—coaching sessions, courses, and even learning how to make my own prints—2024 was more relaxed. I focused less on marketing and more on enjoying the process of creating. I also finally settled on a website platform I love, rolling out a new site for early 2025. My goal now? Build habits that push my art, style, and sales even further.
