Illegible 24" x 30" – Acrylic and mixed media abstract painting on canvas

This one is all scattered gesture—loose scribbles, layered blocks of plum and burgundy, marks that pile up faster than they resolve. I was leaning into a kind of controlled chaos here, letting the composition stay busy and unresolved instead of smoothing it out.

The palette came from a color combination I found on Pinterest: muted, dusty pink as the base, with pops of bright lime and orange breaking through. There's something soft and almost girly about those colors together, but paired with all that plum and burgundy, it stops feeling delicate and starts feeling a little more electric. I named it Illegible because so much of what's happening in the piece reads like handwriting no one was ever meant to decode.
