Bruised 12" x 12" – Acrylic and mixed media abstract painting on canvas

This one sits somewhere between soft and heavy—dusty pink and blush washes underneath, with deeper plum and magenta pooling on top like something still settling. The marks feel a little more compressed here, layered close together instead of spreading out across the canvas.

The palette pulls from a color combination I found on Pinterest: muted pink grounded by pops of lime and orange. On their own, those colors read soft and almost girly, but layered with all that plum and burgundy, the piece takes on a moodier, bruised kind of feeling. I liked that tension, so I named it Bruised.
