“Who made these rules?” Is part of the larger series called “Everything is Everything”. This small number of works pack a big punch with the unique and interesting color selection.

I’ve been in a reminiscent mood lately and out of the blue this song popped into my head. You know the one by Lauryn Hill called *Everything is Everything.* It’s a song meant to remind young people to not give up hope during challenging times and hey, I may not be the original intended target audience but I sure will say that these words can still pick me up all the same.

Each piece in this collection has an edge of chaos with harmony all mixed in. Just like life is meant to be. If you’re looking closely you’ll find texture with bright fluorescent sparks of color and stained canvas peeking from behind. Color is my life and with each series I reveal a tiny bit more of the spirit that drives me to keep going - with a little help from Ms. Lauryn Hill of course.
