What Has Been 20" x 30" – Acrylic and mixed media abstract painting on canvas

This one felt a little more reflective while I was making it. The stained raw canvas has a warmth to it, and I leaned into that with deeper blues, soft pinks, and layered scribbles and shapes. I used large sections of color here—something I was experimenting with at the time—and let the more gestural marks fall in around them.

I called it What Has Been because I was thinking about how our past shapes how we move through the world now. It’s about looking back—not to stay there, but to better understand where you're headed.

Edges are painted, and it's wired and ready to hang.
